I bought a new nissan door assembly unit and it appears to be not moving freely. When the actuator gets the signal from the power door lock switch a small motor turns the gears. This is a 2012 g37 that i needed to change the door lock actuator on. I have a 2007 gu patrol wagon.

The power door lock actuator is the part of the power door lock system that actually controls the locks. The drivers side door fails to lock when the remote key is pressed. I have removed the drivers side seat in order to remove some of the door trim to get at the locking mechanism. It is jammed and i cant open it using the key door handles from inside or outside.
